First Sponsor Details: Theresa & Feilim’s Salon

July 29, 2008

‘The Marsha Commitae’ are proud to announce the successful completion of a deal with Theresa & Feilim’s Salon in Ballyhaunis for part-sponsorship of the Marsha Wedding.

Commitae member Nicole Walsh has been working tirelessly, day and night, behind the scenes to secure this lucrative deal with such a coveted partner.

Speaking earlier Nicole stated that “..this will be a very beneficial deal for both sides. For the Marsha members bridal deals have been agreed at very competitive prices. For the Salon, it will raise their profile in Ireland for being involved in such a high profile wedding”.

Speaking on behalf of the Salon, Feilim O’Hara said “it was a great day for the salon”. He went on to say “blue-rinse specials will be available on or before the wedding day as well as pudding bowls for the lads – to really stand out on the special day!”.

To give an idea of why the particular Salon was chosen you only need to look at their celebrity clientele: Con Houlihan, Sinead O’Connor (when she was bald) and ‘Detective Myles Byrne’ from “Fair City”.

Theresa & Feilim will be operating in Italy on the wedding day and bookings can be made through Savage Weddings Inc.

Ode to Ginger

July 25, 2008

An Ode to Marcus.

Ginger
(to the tune of “Yellow” by Coldplay)

Look at the sun,
Look how it shines all day,
For a good hat I will pay,
Cause I was born Ginger.

I walk at night,
For in the day I’ll burn,
There’s nowhere for me to turn.
Cause I was born Ginger.

So I put on my factor 60,
So I don’t have to move nifty,
Its tough being Ginger.

My hair,
Oh yeah my hair and skin,
I deserve free shares in Piz Buin,
I have to carry this burden,
This burden to have to carry.

I wear a jumper,
A hat, long trous and shoes,
Even to barbeques,
Cause I was born Ginger.

I burn,
I burn at the sight of sun,
Then there’s no Achi fun,
Cause I was born Ginger.

My hair,
Oh yeah my hair and skin,
I deserve free shares in Piz Buin,
To get away with factor 30 I’d give,
I’d give my right arm

Its true look how it shines all day,
Feels like its laughing at me,
I wave my fist at thee,
I’ll never wear factor three,
Or a vest and shorts combi,
Cause it shines all day

Look at the sun, look how it laughs at me….

Forming Commitaes is deeericulous

July 6, 2008

Today the first meeting between the chairfolks will take place to form the commitae for the Marsha Wedding.

We hope to publish, later in the week, an organisation chart outlining the necessary responsibilities of those involved along with their job titles.

Details for the shoe off and the Marscars may also be discussed. Expenses akin to those of a TD are expected for all this work.

The location of this meeting will be private to prevent the intrusion of Mr and Mrs T.

Shoe Off Info from soon-to-be-Achison

July 1, 2008

Some important *cough* information from Achison-to-be for the shoe off..

Hi,
Important update for all the ladies attending the Marsha wedding.

On a recent trip, the Bride Achicabe found 2 little shoe shops in the little town Greve beside the wedding venue. One specialises in handmade Italian leather shoes, in the other one Guess shoes amongst others can be bought. Anyway important information in case anyone “forgets” to bring their shoes to Italy… ;)
